Over the past few days we’ve talked about dying to sin, and giving God our LIVES and our LIFESTYLES.
So what now? What do we do?
I don’t know if this is the same for everyone, but lately God has been doing some pretty massive things in my life. Take coming to actually know him…like KNOW more about who He is, and see myself for who I am compared to Him, only very major things.
So, I’ve given God my life, and I’ve given Him my lifestyle…and then, the amazing thing is is that GOD TAKES IT (I know, fall over dead. Me and my beautiful friend Mary we’re talking about this and she said “it’s not like He (God) is going to be like ‘oh how nice of you to offer, you can go back with what you want it now.’” (thanks, Mar) NO! God is going to take your life, and He is going to do something incredible with it, something that YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND. Something that may not seem to matter to you, but may result in someone else coming closer, or coming to HIM….because it’s all about Him now. Now that we’re dead, we no longer live for ourselves, and for our selfish desires. We no longer desire to please our fleash and continue on living in slime, NO….we want a shower! We want to be clean, and God takes us, and He cleans us, and HE USES US! We have come from DARKNESS into LIGHT.
Let me tell you something. God does not need you. Know, absolutly not. He does not need you at all….but HE CHOOSES you. He accepts you to the mission. He desires YOU to be the one to proclaim His name to the nations. How come we so often times view such a great priveledge as such a curse and annoyance? We ARE the chosen ones. Countless times I question: Why would God choose me, and in my mind, I still have not come up with an answer. Why would a righteous Holy God save me? Why would He love me? We are CHOSEN. All of a sudden, I remember a verse I recently heard. I look it up, and again, it silences me. I leave you with it, and this question: Since you have been called out of the Light, how are YOU declairing HIS praises.
1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people
belonging to God, that you may
declare the praises of Him
who called you out of darkness into his
wonderful light.
